Shortcake is a sweet cake or biscuit.Though today’s shortcakes are usually of the biscuit or sponge-cake variety, earlier American recipes called for pie crust in rounds or broken-up pieces,which was a variety still being enjoyed in the 20th century, particularly in the South.
2 cups maida
150 ml milk
1 चम्मच बेकिंग पाउडर
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbsp castor sugar
4 tbsp melted sugar
1 1/4 cup double cream
4 cups fresh strawberries Chopped.
- Sieve maida, पाक चूर्ण, salt together.
- Mix butter and sugar with maida . Add milk and knead a soft dough.
- Roll out two roties from the dough. Put them on a baking sheet and bake in an oven at 220 degree C for 10 से 15 मिनट.
- Beat cream with a hand mixer till it raises to double the quantity.
- Put one baked roti in a serving plate. Spread half the cream on it and 3/4 th quantity of strawberries around it.
- Cover with another roti.
- Garnish with cream. Cool and serve.
